Some women are just more comfortable expressing themselves in a private setting. If you enjoy painting, but have been intimidated for any reason, this option offers a supportive, comfortable environment for you to try painting.Encouraging mentoring allows artists to learn and to experience and then express themselves painting still life or landscapes.
Your personal recommendations are always appreciated, and inviting a friend to paint with you is always a joy!
**I have thoroughly enjoyed being taught in a one-on-one basis by someone so talented and inspiring! Kay is so great, not only in her teaching technique, but really building my lessons around what I want! She's flexible with the dates/times of our lessons, with what I want to do, how I want to learn, and wanting to give me the end result I am looking for. I have learned so much from her about what supplies are good to start out with, where to buy the supplies, color values, different techniques with brush strokes, and different mediums. I can't wait to keep improving myself with her guidance!

**Online lessons have saved me during this pandemic! I love painting again! Your calm creative nature has helped me take my painting into a therapeutic zone that I have really relied on. And I am learning to paint better; improving bad habits I picked up and finding joy in the process. I cant wait to set goals for 2021, and kiss 2020 good-bye!

**This was an excellent workshop, what I call the nitty gritty of painting. The instructors were very knowledgeable and were full of all kinds of good hints. They introduced us to tools we normally would not have heard of or thought of using but which were very useful. They made the class fun and we all felt comfortable enough to ask questions or comment. I think this workshop should be a standard offering at PYHO. Perhaps it could be expanded into a day or day and a half. - Kathleen Sparkman
